Meet Your Therapist

Amanda Strider

REGISTERED CLINICAL COUNSELLOR

My work is rooted in compassion and collaboration with a nervous system focus. You'll see elements of narrative therapy, somatic therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, parts work, and occasionally a little CBT.

Before becoming a therapist, I spent over a decade as a kinesiologist supporting people with illness, injury, and chronic pain. Through that work I observed the way our minds and bodies are in constant conversation and how helpful it can be for use to be able to hear both sides.

Whether we're exploring the impact of ADHD, burnout, anxiety, big life changes, or living with chronic pain, we'll take an approach that honours your needs, and focuses on what matters most to you.

As a neurodivergent therapist, I'm passionate about supporting women navigating  burnout and ADHD, especially late diagnosis. Having grown up in the competitive dance world, I also enjoy working with dancers, athletes, and performers as they manage the challenges that come with training to perform at high levels, being impacted by injury, or transitioning out of competiton.
